bet365 to cut around 340 jobs
bet365 plans to cut around 340 roles across its offices in Stoke-on-Trent, Malta and Gibraltar, according to SBC News. The company pointed to a highly competitive trading environment and increased regulatory and tax-related costs.
The backdrop is the UK, where remote gaming duty rose from 21% to 40% on 1 April 2026. bet365 is the last of the five largest UK gambling firms to announce cuts since the increase. Its licensed products in the markets we cover continue to operate as before.
