Wagering Requirement Calculator

Work out what a bonus is actually worth: total wagering, the expected cost to clear it, and the value left over, before you claim.

Simplified estimate: it assumes you clear the full wagering requirement once through at the stated RTP, with no variance and full game weighting. Actual results depend on the games you play, bet sizing and luck, use this as a planning figure, not a prediction.

The formula

Total wagering = bonus × wagering multiple × (100 ÷ game weighting %). Expected cost = total wagering × house edge, where house edge = (100% − RTP). Net value = bonus − expected cost.

A worked example

$500 bonus · 20× wagering · 100% game weighting · 96% RTP → total wagering $10,000 → expected cost ≈ $400 (4% house edge) → net value ≈ $100. In other words, a bonus this size is only worth roughly a fifth of its face value once you account for the playthrough.

What is "expected cost"?

Expected cost is the statistically expected amount lost while completing the wagering requirement, based on the games' long-run return to player (RTP). It is an average, not a guarantee: individual results vary, and a bonus can still finish above or below this figure.
