WorldWinner
WorldWinner is a long-running US site for cash tournaments in skill games such as solitaire. How it works and where it is restricted.
US skill-gaming site, not a gambling licence
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

How it works
WorldWinner has run cash tournaments in casual games since 1999 and is owned by Game Show Network. Players pay an entry fee to compete at solitaire, word games or branded titles, the best score takes the prize and the site keeps a share. Opponents are matched by skill level.
Because results depend on skill and everyone plays the same layout, most US states treat this as a contest and not as gambling.
Where it stands
WorldWinner holds no gambling licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario) and does not need one under the laws it relies on. A number of US states do not allow paid skill contests, and cash play is unavailable there.
Free practice games are open everywhere.
What to know
Skill-based does not mean risk-free. You lose your entry fee whenever you are outscored, and the games are designed for quick repeat play. Set a budget as you would for any paid game.
We do not score skill-gaming sites.
