Licence and background
Unibet was founded in 1997 by Anders Ström and grew into Kindred Group, which France's lottery operator FDJ bought in 2024. The combined company now trades as FDJ United. In Great Britain Unibet operates under a UK Gambling Commission licence, and it serves Ireland under local rules.
Kindred closed its US business in 2024, so the brand is no longer available in the American states where it once operated.
What you get
One account covers the sportsbook, casino, poker and bingo. The sportsbook is broad, with solid football and racing coverage, live streaming on selected events and a bet builder. The poker room runs on its own software with a recreational focus: no tracking tools and anonymous tables.
Odds sit around the market average. UK protections apply, including GAMSTOP and the online slot stake limits.
Our take
A sensible choice if you want several products under one login and care more about a tidy app than about headline offers. Racing punters will find stronger concessions at the specialist British bookmakers. Poker players who dislike tracking software have a good reason to look here.
