Thrillzz
Thrillzz is a US "social" sports betting app using virtual coins. How the model works and where it stands.
US sweepstakes model, not a gambling licence
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

How it works
Thrillzz calls itself a social sportsbook. Users predict real games with virtual coins, and as at sweepstakes casinos one type of coin can be redeemed for cash prizes. That lets the app run in states where sports betting is not legal, and it adds slots on the same principle.
Coins are bought with real money.
Where it stands
Regulators in several states challenge the sports part of this model in particular. Thrillzz holds no gambling licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario).
It is not open to players outside the United States.
What to know
Money spent on coins can go as fast as an ordinary stake, and state self-exclusion schemes do not apply.
We do not score sweepstakes apps.
