Sportsbet.io

Sportsbet.io is a crypto sportsbook known for Premier League sponsorships. It holds no licence in the markets we cover. What that means.

Not licensed in any market we cover

This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

What it is

Sportsbet.io launched in 2016 as one of the first sportsbooks built around cryptocurrency and belongs to Yolo Group, which also runs the casino Bitcasino. It became widely known through shirt and sleeve sponsorships with Premier League clubs. Customers deposit and bet in bitcoin, ether, stablecoins and a few traditional currencies.

It should not be confused with Sportsbet, the Australian bookmaker owned by Flutter, which is an unrelated company.

Licence status

Sportsbet.io operates under a Curaçao licence and holds none in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario). Its football sponsorships put the name in front of British viewers, but the site itself is not open to customers in Great Britain.

A Curaçao licence does not give you access to GAMSTOP, a UK-style ombudsman or the deposit and stake limits that local regulators require.

What to know

Crypto betting adds exchange-rate risk to betting risk: a win can shrink before you cash it out. Disputes are handled by the operator and, in the last resort, the Curaçao authority. Licensed bookmakers in your own market are listed in our reviews.

We do not score operators outside our markets.
