PrizePicks
PrizePicks is the largest US pick'em fantasy app, built around over-or-under calls on player stats. How it is regulated and what to know.
US fantasy operator, not a licensed sportsbook
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

What it is
On PrizePicks you choose between two and six players and predict whether each will finish over or under a set number on a statistic such as points or passing yards. The more correct picks, the bigger the multiple paid on your entry. The company is based in Atlanta and is the largest operator of this format.
In a number of states the game is now run peer-to-peer, with players competing against each other and not against the house.
How it is regulated
PrizePicks operates under state fantasy sports rules, not sportsbook licences. Several regulators have argued that pick'em against the house is sports betting, and the company has changed its format or withdrawn in some states as a result. It holds no gambling licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario).
The state list changes, so check the app before depositing.
What to know
An entry behaves like a parlay: a single miss sharply reduces or wipes out the payout. The format reaches states and age groups that legal sportsbooks do not, without all of the safeguards those books must offer.
We do not score fantasy apps.
