Status and background
Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is a Crown agency owned by the province. It runs the lotteries, oversees land-based casinos and operates OLG.ca, which sells lottery tickets online and offers casino games and sports betting. Profits go to the provincial government.
OLG sits alongside the private operators licensed through iGaming Ontario. You must be in Ontario to play, and 19 or older for casino and sports.
What you get
OLG.ca is the only place to buy Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 tickets online in Ontario. The casino has slots, table games and a live dealer section, and the sportsbook trades under the PROLINE+ name with single-event betting.
Player tools sit under the PlaySmart programme, with deposit and loss limits available from sign-up.
Our take
The obvious choice for lottery, and a reasonable one for casual casino play if you like the idea of profits staying in the province. Sports prices and promotions are generally weaker than at the private sportsbooks, so regular bettors should compare.
