Novig
Novig is a US app where users trade positions on sports results with each other in place of betting against a bookmaker. How it works.
US peer-to-peer market; not a sportsbook licence
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

How it works
On Novig you do not bet against the house. You take one side of an outcome and another user takes the other, as on an exchange, and the company says this removes the usual bookmaker margin. The app began on a sweepstakes model with virtual coins and now presents itself as a sports prediction market.
Prices move with supply and demand, so the odds on offer depend on who else is trading.
Where it stands
Novig does not operate as a state-licensed sportsbook in most of the US, and regulators in a number of states have challenged sports trading offered in this form. It holds no licence in the other markets we cover.
The legal position of sports prediction markets is still being argued in the courts.
What to know
No margin does not mean no losses: if your prediction is wrong, you lose your stake. The protections a state sportsbook must provide, such as mandated limits and statewide self-exclusion, do not apply.
We do not score prediction markets.
