An Italian market leader
Lottomatica is the biggest operator in Italy's regulated gambling market, with online brands, betting shops and gaming halls. The group listed on the Milan stock exchange in 2023 and has grown through acquisitions, adding Betflag and then the owner of PlanetWin365.
The Lottomatica name has a longer history in Italian lotteries, but today's company is a betting and gaming business.
Availability
The group's sites are for residents of Italy and require an Italian tax code to register. It holds no licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario). English-language searches come largely from investors and from Italians abroad.
Italy restricts most gambling advertising, so the brands are little known outside the country.
Worth knowing
