Ignition Casino
Ignition Casino is an offshore casino and poker site aimed at US players. It holds no US state licence. What that means in practice.
Not licensed in any market we cover
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

What it is
Ignition launched in 2016 and took over the poker room previously run by Bovada, with which it still shares a player pool. It is best known for anonymous poker tables, where opponents cannot track your play, and it runs a casino alongside. Most payments are in cryptocurrency.
It has never been licensed by a US state regulator.
Licence status
Ignition holds no licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario). US state regulators have stepped up action against offshore sites since 2024, and availability by state changes. Licensed online poker exists in a handful of states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Nevada.
The .eu ending of the address does not mean a European licence.
What to know
With an offshore room there is no regulator to complain to and no guarantee that player balances are held apart from company funds. Payout speed depends on the operator. Winnings remain taxable income for US residents.
We do not score operators outside our markets.
