Fliff
Fliff is a US social sportsbook where picks are made with virtual coins, one kind of which can be redeemed for prizes. How it works.
US sweepstakes model, not a gambling licence
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

How it works
Fliff calls itself a social sportsbook. Users make picks on real games with coins that have no cash value, and a second currency, obtained free or as a bonus with coin purchases, can be redeemed for cash prizes. That is how it operates in states where sports betting is not legal.
There is always a free way to obtain coins, which is the basis of the sweepstakes model.
Where it stands
Fliff holds no gambling licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario). Regulators in several states have challenged the sports side of the sweepstakes model in particular, and the list of excluded states changes.
It is not open to residents of the UK or Europe.
What to know
It feels like a sportsbook, and coin purchases add up quickly. There are no state-mandated limits, no statewide self-exclusion and no gaming regulator to complain to.
We do not score sweepstakes sites.
