Fanatics Markets
Fanatics Markets is the prediction market of the US sports company Fanatics, selling yes-or-no contracts on events. How it works.
US event contracts, not a licensed sportsbook product
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

How it works
Fanatics Markets belongs to Fanatics, the US sports merchandise giant that also runs a sportsbook. Users buy and sell contracts on sports results, politics, economics and culture, and each contract pays a fixed amount if the prediction comes true.
The company says it operates as a broker registered with the CFTC, the US derivatives regulator, rather than as a sportsbook.
Where it stands
Sports event contracts are disputed by several state gaming regulators, who see them as sports betting without a state licence. Fanatics Markets holds no licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario) outside that federal framework.
It is not open to players in the UK or Europe.
What to know
A sports contract works like a bet whatever it is called, and state self-exclusion schemes may not apply.
We do not score prediction markets.
