Dream Car Giveaways
Dream Car Giveaways runs online competitions to win cars, cash and tech. How the draws work, what they cost and how they are regulated.
UK prize competition operator, not a gambling licence
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

How it works
Dream Car Giveaways sells a fixed number of tickets for each prize, usually for well under a pound to a few pounds each, and picks the winner in a draw streamed live. It also runs instant-win competitions, where some ticket numbers carry a prize the moment they are bought.
The business grew quickly through social media, where winners' handovers are filmed and shared.
How it is regulated
Because there is a free postal entry route, these are prize draws and not lotteries under British law, so no Gambling Commission licence is required. The company holds no gambling licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario).
The government has been working with the sector on a voluntary code of practice for prize draw operators.
What to know
Low ticket prices make it easy to spend more than you meant to, and instant-win games play much like scratchcards. Tools such as GAMSTOP do not cover prize draws.
We do not score prize competition operators.
