The brand
Bolsa de Aposta, Portuguese for betting exchange, let Brazilian customers back and lay outcomes against one another and took a commission on winnings. It operated on a .bet.br address, the domain reserved for companies authorised under the federal licensing regime.
It never operated outside Brazil.
What happened
In late September 2026 the Brazilian government issued a provisional measure banning online betting. Sites on .bet.br addresses went offline from early October and now show a government notice.
The measure still has to be voted on by Congress and is being challenged in court, so the position may change.

Bolsa de Aposta never held a licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario). Former customers in Brazil should request any balance through official channels and ignore messages that promise to restore access to the site.
