Licence and background
BetVictor traces its history to a London bookmaking business founded in 1946. Victor Chandler, grandson of the founder, moved the operation to Gibraltar in the late 1990s and was among the first to take bets over the internet. The company is privately owned and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
Its technology arm, BV Gaming, also runs betting sites for other brands.
What you get
Football and horse racing lead the sportsbook, with competitive prices on the main markets, a bet builder and best-odds-guaranteed windows on UK and Irish racing. The casino has a full slots lobby and live tables on the same wallet.
The usual UK protections apply, including GAMSTOP and the online slot stake limits.
Our take
A long-established bookmaker with fair prices and a tidy app. It runs fewer headline promotions than the largest brands. Racing punters and football bettors who compare odds will find it worth having.
