BetOnline
BetOnline is an offshore sportsbook, casino and poker site aimed at US players. It holds no US state licence. What that means in practice.
Not licensed in any market we cover
This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

What it is
BetOnline has taken bets over the internet since 2004 and operates from Panama. It is one of the longest-running offshore sportsbooks serving American customers, known for posting lines early and for accepting a wide range of cryptocurrencies. A poker room and casino run from the same account.
It has never held a licence from a US state regulator.
Licence status
BetOnline holds no licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario). Several state regulators have told offshore books to stop taking their residents, and enforcement has stepped up since 2024. In every state with legal sports betting there are licensed alternatives.
The .ag domain belongs to Antigua and Barbuda and says nothing about where the site is regulated.
What to know
With an offshore site there is no state regulator to complain to and no guarantee that customer balances are kept apart from company funds. Payout speed depends on the operator's goodwill. Winnings are still taxable income for US residents.
We do not score operators outside our markets.
