Bethard

Bethard is a sportsbook and casino founded in Sweden in 2012, working on Maltese and Swedish licences. It holds no licence in our markets.

Malta and Sweden licences; not licensed in our markets

This brand is not licensed in the markets we cover (or only in part of them), so it has no Wayfinder Score. If you play there, you do not get the protections a local licence brings: limits, self-exclusion and a regulator to complain to.

What it is

Bethard started in 2012 and became known in Sweden through deals with well-known athletes. Its site cites a Malta Gaming Authority licence, and it holds a Swedish licence for that market. The Swedish regulator has fined the company, among other things for anti-money-laundering failings, and the brand has changed owners.

It aims mainly at Nordic players.

Licence status

Bethard holds no licence in the markets we cover (US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Ontario).

Without a local licence there is no self-exclusion scheme, no mandated limits and no dispute body to turn to.

What to know

A Maltese licence does not bring UK or Irish protections such as GAMSTOP.

We do not link to or score operators outside our markets.
