Licence and background

bet-at-home was founded in Austria in 1999 and was for years one of the most visible sponsors in German and Austrian sport. Its shares trade in Frankfurt. In Germany it runs at bet-at-home.de as a permitted operator on the GGL whitelist and is connected to the national limit and exclusion systems.

It closed its British operation some years ago and now concentrates on German-speaking markets.

What you get

A sportsbook built around football, tennis, ice hockey and handball, with live betting inside the limits German rules allow. The 5.3 per cent betting tax is handled according to the operator's terms.

Casino games are not part of the German sports betting site.

Our take

A long-standing, straightforward bookmaker. Prices are average and the range is narrower than at the biggest German books, but the site is easy to use.
