Licence and background
888poker has been online since 2002, at first as Pacific Poker, and belongs to evoke, the London-listed group that also owns William Hill. It is licensed in Great Britain and runs separate regulated sites in Spain and Ontario, among others.
Player pools are separate in ring-fenced markets, so traffic varies by country.
What you get
Hold'em and Omaha cash tables, a daily tournament schedule, fast-fold tables and jackpot sit-and-gos. The software is simple, and the field is softer than at rooms favoured by professionals.
High-stakes action is thin, and tracking software is restricted.
Our take
A good room for recreational players and newcomers. Regulars chasing volume and big series will find more at the largest networks.
